Hi All,
I am currently reading the posts that Lei put up last week and trying to get to grips with this assignment full. I am also re-reading the module handbook for this reason. By the end of the weekend I intend to have read it all and have full clarity after all I don't want to get a 5000 word assignment wrong do I.
Fortunately the assignment description for the mental health sounds more straight forward.
In truth, I am bitter about this assignment, for two reasons. Firstly, I was under the impression that the objective was to write a journal article on a topic of my own choice to a targeted journal and try and get it published. Now it appears that it is a critical analysis of current research.
Secondly with these new handouts from Lei, it seems that we are now finally having to learn the specifics of research from the acupuncture perspective. I am bitter because this has not been part of the course up to now and I have been subjected to sociology babble for two years, which at no time did I ever understand and at no time will I ever understand. It just seemed like a load of nitpicking, jargon and psuedoscience to me.
I am glad to be looking at research from the reasuring bedrock of the acupuncture science perspective. Thanks to Lei for recognising this gap in our understanding and schooling.

That first paragraph was meant to read.

Welcome to the dark art of the weblogosphere. I am a practitioner of yore with blogs of mirth and merriment and gore.
The only real rule of blogging is to stick at it and post regularly. Blogs with month long gaps are iffy.
Is it an omen that the word verification I am being faced with to prove I am a person and not a spider is rearse ... re-arse???
Keep it up lad! The blog not the rearse!!
Oh! The word allocution was new to me but it's a cracker: very clever. Where did you find it? Don't say the dictionary, you know what I mean!
I found it at thesaurus.com.
